Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is the nation’s 6th largest transit system serving a 2,200 mile area in order to carry approximately 750,000 customers each workday. But to reach further and become the major driving force for the economic success of the Philadelphia region, SEPTA has transformed itself into a nimble, fast-moving organization. Old thinking is out and a new, streamlined structure has taken root, helping to build projects, expand infrastructure and move people more efficiently.

Industry and government agencies have taken notice, awarding SEPTA with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence and the American Public Transportation Association’s Gold Standard
