Each of our 75 laboratories is led by a Rockefeller scientist who reports directly to the president. We have 10 broad areas of research, but 0 formal departments and a lean administration with minimal bureaucracy.
We are a vibrant, collegial scientific community of approximately 200 graduate students, 325 postdocs, and 1,325 research and support staff. Our 16-acre campus on Manhattan’s East Side is home to 9 modern research buildings with over 481,000 square feet of lab space.
Our scientists have won a collective 25 Nobel Prizes, and 5 Nobel Prize winners are currently on our faculty. 50 percent of our faculty have been elected to the prestigious National Academy of Sciences.
We are a modern, thriving institution: Over the past 10 years we have invested over $2 billion in new facilities, scientific equipment, faculty recruitment, and research support. Our graduate program attracts exceptional Ph.D. students from around the world. They pay $0 in tuition.

We are currently hiring graduating seniors for 1-2 year biomedical research assistant positions to work closely with senior scientists and participate in challenging, complex, and dynamic research projects.
As a Rockefeller research assistant, you will:
