Co-founder Frank Moran often referred to our firm as "a people firm disguised as an accounting firm." Why? Because people are at the core of everything we do.
Founded in 1924, Plante Moran is among the largest audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management firms in the nation, and for 22 years, we’ve been one of Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For.” Why? Because our award-winning culture is based on one simple premise: We care. We care about our clients, our staff, and the communities where we live and work. We do the right things for the right reasons. And, as our co-founder Frank Moran was fond of pointing out, we’re relatively jerk-free. (Hey—nobody’s perfect.) So whether you’re launching your career or looking to make a change, joining our team can bring you closer to your career goals. Meet other bright professionals doing meaningful work. Make a difference. Make your mark.

At Plante Moran, we strive to create a culture where each person feels accepted and valued. We believe that each person's ultimate potential begins with first acknowledging their inherent dignity. When we recognize - and celebrate - our many human differences, we're able to create a workplace where all staff feel a sense of belonging and an opportunity to succeed. This allows us to attract and retain the best talent, serve clients through diverse thinking, and better represent and support the various communities in which we live and work.
What does diversity, equity, and inclusion mean at Plante Moran?
Diversity: We value the unique identities and experiences of our staff.
Equity: Everyone has an equitable and fair opportunity to succeed.
Inclusion: Each staff member can proudly say, "I know I belong here."
We offer a flexible work policy to all staff. With "Workplace for your Day", staff can choose their work location based on their individual day's needs. If staff need to go into the office to collaborate, the space is there, and if they have a day where they need to focus, they can work remotely.
This means staff can take time off as needed without having to “bank” time or worry about paid-time-off availability (provided all work objectives are met, of course). We also offer a number of generous leave policies, including 6–12 weeks of paid parental leave for all new parents, including moms, dads, and adoptive parents, as well as 6 weeks of family leave and 4 weeks of personal leave.
It’s one thing to say you care, but it’s another to show it. Every year at Plante Moran, we support a charity at the local-office level through our Plante Moran Cares initiative. Staff members raise money through a variety of fundraising efforts and donate their time throughout their local communities. And we encourage staff to designate 8 hours of flexible time off each year for community service activities.
