About The Good Care Group
For older people or those with life-limiting conditions, there’s nowhere better to live than in the comfort of their own home. Surrounded by their memories and supported by a live-in Carer, every single client gets to live their very best life, in the place they love most.
The Good Care Group is a leading provider of live-in care services in England and Scotland. Our recognition and awards are proof of our determination to be the best live-in care provider in the UK. We have achieved the highest ratings the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England can give – five ‘outstanding’ ratings in all categories. We’re also rated ‘excellent’ for care and support and ‘very good’ for staffing by the Care Inspectorate in Scotland. We’re immensely proud and thankful for the dedication and sustained efforts of our whole team.
Working with us you’ll be supported by a team and technology that are second to none. We’ll support you to grow your skills and knowledge. Your training begins with our induction in London. It’s confidence-boosting and ensures you have everything you need to deliver outstanding care. We also offer ongoing training opportunities that will help you develop your knowledge in specialist areas, such as advanced Dementia care, Parkinson’s disease, and end of life care.
We believe that maintaining a healthy balance between live-in care work and your personal life, helps you perform at your best. And when you perform at your best, you should get the best rewards. Our employment packages are industry-leading and offer a great range of benefits, including an Employee Assistance Programme, 24/7 support and flexible rota patterns.
The Good Care Group is part of a family of Sodexo home care brands in the UK, including Oxford Aunts, Prestige Nursing & Care and Comfort Keepers (Ireland).

Whatever your aspirations, we are passionate about supporting our teams to develop their skills and knowledge. This all starts with an initial induction training in our London office, introducing you to our ways of working and it’s also a great way to refresh your skills and knowledge. From there, you have the opportunity for further development such as studying for your level 2 diploma in working in care services and a level 3 award in awareness of Dementia. We also provide advanced Dementia courses, Parkinson’s training and end of life training too.
We think there’s nowhere better to train for the future. Whether you want to grow your skills as a Professional Live-in Carer, gain expertise in complex needs or go on to become a Care Manager, we’ll help you achieve your goals. We invest in, and encourage, every employee to continually develop their skills and experience, providing a range of opportunities for professional enhancement. Additional training, ongoing supervision, coaching and mentoring are also available to all our employees.

Changing careers or transferring to a new company doesn’t have to be daunting. We asked some of our valued team of carers to tell us about their experience of working with us. We hope they inspire you too.
Sheena's story...
“I would really recommend this kind of work if you’re on your own like I am or you still feel the need to work and are looking for a really worthwhile occupation.
I love the freedom of being a live-in carer. I could have gone for several different shifts but the one I chose really suited my lifestyle. Live-in care works so well for me as I love to travel and my friends and family are very important to me, so having two weeks to do this each month is ideal.
I cannot recommend working with TGCG enough. The company is very encouraging and will pay for you to take further qualifications should you wish to further your career. I don’t know of any company as good as TGCG. I will stay with them until I finally hang up my apron. I’m still very healthy and have great energy so I don’t see myself retiring for a good long time yet!”
Gary's story…
“I decided to join the care sector after supporting my mum for 18 months. She suffered from terminal cancer and sadly passed away. It was this experience that quickly made me realise that I would like to become a carer. I’ve now been working in care now for nearly 12 years and I love it. I love my role with The Good Care Group as you’re supporting people on a one to one basis; you get the opportunity to really get to know the person and make a real difference in helping them have the very best quality of life in their own home.”
