History and Philosophy

Pima Medical Institute started changing lives more than 40 years ago. In 1972, Richard Luebke Sr. and his wife JoAnn brought to life their dream of providing students with a quality medical career education. They opened their first campus in Tucson, Ariz., preparing students to become nursing assistants. As the years passed, the Luebkes introduced more programs and opened additional campus locations to meet the country’s growing demand for quality health care professionals.
Today, the legacy of our family owned school continues. Richard Luebke Jr. and Mark Luebke lead the college their father founded more than four decades ago. We continue to be guided by the belief that our success as a school is measured by the success of our students.
